Halloween Candy Buy Back 2012

Hey kids on November 2nd bring in your leftover halloween candy to select dental offices and they will buy it back and pay you $1.00 per pound. Halloween Candy Buy Back 2010

November 2, 2010
We held our annual Halloween Candy Buy Back in November.
Able Dental Group Dentists paid $1 per pound to buy any Halloween treats children bring to their offices. All candy collected was boxed up and sent to troops in Afghanistan, Kuwait and Iraq.

The winner of the Movie Mill Party for a student and his entire class was Brody from GS Lakie Middle School. Thank you to all the dentists who participated!

Free Public Oral Cancer Screening

Our Able Dental Group Team saw 167 people in total with an alarming 15 people needing follow up examinations. This is almost 10% of the patients!
These numbers demonstrate to us the extreme importance of regular oral cancer screening. At all of our dental clinics we offer FREE oral cancer screening using VELScope technology at all our recall and new patient examinations. At the Able Dental Group we care about our patients and want to provide value added service!

Hello everyone! Congratulations…. You survived the 100 Mile Bike Challenge. People keep asking me how much money we have raised to date…..We have raised over $55,000.00. Please keep raising money and collecting for the few weeks. Please drop off all donations by July 15th…….power in number people. Leftover belongs can be picked up at the dental clinic.

Our event would not be as successful without our generous sponsors and volunteers. On behalf of our family, we would like to extend our deepest heartfelt thanks to the many family members, friends and members of the community who have so generously volunteered and given to the 100 mile bike ride. It is through the unselfish giving of others that our son Taylor and the many others who live everyday of their lives with Cystic Fibrosis, are able to find hope that a cure or a control for their disease will be discovered in time to make a difference in their lives. In the twenty years since our son was born we have seen many advances in the care and treatment of patients with Cystic Fibrosis which has greatly improved their quality of life, only because research has been able to continue because of the generous giving of others. So we would like to say "Thank You" to everyone who had a part in making the 100 mile bike ride a success, you truly are giving the breath of life to our son.

100 Mile Bike Ride

June 19th, 2010 Saturday

Funds to be divided between the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Calgary and Southern Alberta Chapter and the Lethbridge Association for Community Living.

We need to recruit riders and we need donations today!!!!!!!

To ensure our success we are looking for 100 riders, each raising $1000.00 = hopefully $100,000.00.

Dr. Bryan Murray and the Able Dental Group would like to dedicate this ride in honor of fellow colleague Dr. Bob Rice's son Taylor (22yrs) and our London Road Dental Clinic patient Mikayla (14yrs) - Cystic Fibrosis. Also honoring Chase Eklund (2 1/2 yrs) - Down Syndrome

Riders and bikes will be shipped in buses and semi trucks to the Alberta/BC border dropped off and the riders will bike home. Stops along the way in Pincher Creek and Fort Macleod will make for an easy fun ride.

Teams of 1-3 people can be made to each do a leg of the ride. So you don't have to be in great shape to participate. Amateur and beginner riders welcome.
